Dear Coaches,

Please read and note carefully the following information in regard to the upcoming Victoria City Police Senior Boys’ & Girls’ Basketball Tournament, to be held January 14-16, 2010 in Victoria BC.

 

 

GYM LOCATIONS

SMUS             3400 Richmond Road          Victoria BC  V8P 4P5 (all games except as noted)

PCS                654 Agnes Street                  Victoria BC  V8Z 2E6 (three games on Saturday)

 

 

TOURNAMENT FINALS

The tournament final will be at SMUS in the double gym.  Game time is scheduled for Saturday evening with the awards scheduled for 9:00 pm.

Individual winners must be present to receive awards.

 

 

TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Tournament results will be made available on an ongoing basis at the SMUS gym and online at www.Sportvictoria.com

 

 

ENTRY FEE

All teams will pay an entry fee of $225.00 and this includes a t-shirt for each team member.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

FORMAT is a 16-team draw with a total of 27 games.

Top six positions will be decided.

Teams are guaranteed a minimum of three games and a possibility of four.

If you lose your second game you will get a total of three.

CHANGE-ROOMS will be available throughout the tournament.  Please keep personal belongings with you at all times.  SMUS, PCS & the VCPAA are not responsible for lost or stolen items.  Team meeting areas will be available, but space is very limited.

PARKING on campus parking will be very limited during the school day on Thursday and Friday.  If necessary, visitors should park at Hillside Mall.

ADMISSION will be charged to all fans on Friday and Saturday.

Cost will be $3 for adults and $2 for students.

CONCESSION will be on site throughout the tournament.

NOTE: At the end of each game, coaches will be asked to select the best four players that played in the game – this is from EITHER team.  These selection forms will be kept at the scorekeeping table and must be completed immediately following each game.  The names will be put forward to the awards committee to help with all-star team selection.

T-SHIRT SIZES

All teams must submit a team roster with size of t-shirt for each coach, player and manager.  This MUST be EMAILED to Greg Wallis at info@passionsports.ca no later than Wednesday December 9, 2009.
